The AG's Consumer Frauds & Protection Bureau protects New Yorkers against fraud and abuse, whether it's in the marketplace, over the phone, Internet or even in our own homes.
We can investigate, bring law enforcement actions, and mediate consumer problems.
We often facilitate restitution for consumers treated unfairly by businesses. We work to be sure New Yorkers are informed: about their rights, about current problems and scams; about the steps people can take to protect themselves, their financial accounts and their identity.
This agency will be represented May 31, 2016 by Maurice Padula to talk with you about typical scams and frauds that target Senior Citizens.
The presentation is May 31 at 1PM in the Senior Center and it is open to the public.
